{"id":11543,"date":"2023-07-25T13:31:31","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T17:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.boiteinterculturelle.ca\/?p=11543"},"modified":"2023-07-25T13:31:32","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T17:31:32","slug":"from-timbuktu-to-saint-tite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boiteinterculturelle.ca\/en\/from-timbuktu-to-saint-tite\/","title":{"rendered":"From Timbuktu to Saint-Tite"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Saint-Adelphe, July 18th, 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;La Bo\u00eete interculturelle (Canada) in collaboration with the Festival Nuits de Tombouctou in Montreal is pleased to announce the event&nbsp;<strong>&#8216;De Tombouctou \u00e0 Saint-Tite&#8217;<\/strong>&nbsp;to be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Salle le Grand Nord of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/VillageWesternKapibouska\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Village Western Kapibouska<\/a>&nbsp;in Saint-Tite.&nbsp;<br><br>This event is part of the Journ\u00e9es de la culture and is made possible thanks to the support of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developpementmauricie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">D\u00e9veloppement Mauricie<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/VillageWesternKapibouska\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Village Western Kapibouska<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bruleriemekinoise.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Br\u00fblerie M\u00e9kinoise<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/slowfoodvalleebatiscan.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slow Food Vallee de la Batiscan<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjemekinac.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CJE M\u00e9kinac<\/a>.&nbsp;<br><br>With this new project,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/boiteinterculturelle.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Bo\u00eete<\/a>&nbsp;wishes&nbsp;to offer people in rural areas an opportunity to discover Timbuktu&#8217;s precious wealth, its history, its colorful traditions, its deep cultural heritage and a window on a fascinating world through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An exhibition of thousand-year-old manuscripts and photographs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A workshop\/conference with Mr Shindouk Ould Najim, President of the Festival Nuits de Tombouctou in Montreal, leader of the Oulad N Najim faction, historian, President of Timbuktu&#8217;s cultural and tourist associations and refugee in Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Musical entertainment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A tea ceremony and tasting&nbsp;combining the culinary arts of Mali and Quebec to remind us that, like music, this art transcends borders and can serve as a bridge between cultures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is much more than a simple cultural celebration, it&#8217;s an immersive and enriching experience for participants. Cultural diversity is a precious asset that deserves to be celebrated and shared.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we celebrate cultural diversity, we build bridges between peoples and open up new horizons. Projects that promote social and cultural vitality are an integral part of this objective. We believe that innovative cultural initiatives are a guarantee of wealth and health for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjemekinac.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CJE M\u00e9kinac<\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjemekinac.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a><\/strong>&#8211; is an organization dedicated to developing the employability and socio-professional support of young adults aged 16 to 35 in the M\u00e9kinac RCM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developpementmauricie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">D\u00e9veloppement Mauricie<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Founded in 2006, D\u00e9veloppement Mauricie brings together all the socio-economic partners of the Mauricie region. Its mission is to stimulate regional economic development by promoting cooperation between its members and supporting the emergence of structuring projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/slowfoodvalleebatiscan.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slow Food Vallee de la Batiscan<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;An organization promoting participatory democracy, open and non-elitist in character, made up of citizens who have given themselves orientations that correspond to their vision of development in rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bruleriemekinoise.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Br\u00fblerie M\u00e9kinoise&nbsp;<\/a>&#8211; Located in St-Tite, in the heart of the M\u00e9kinac RCM, Br\u00fblerie M\u00e9kinoise has chosen to share its passion for coffee. Their aim is to roast top-of-the-range beans so that you can (re)discover all the facets of this wonderful beverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boiteinterculturelle.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Bo\u00eete interculturelle&nbsp;<\/a>provides a platform for creative expression and cultural exchange. The organization&#8217;s programs aim to promote social cohesion, bridge cultural divides and connect people from all walks of life.
