This 10-day musical project will be held March 10-20 in Mani-utenam, near Sept-\u00celes, and March 22-24 in Trois-Rivi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>La Bo\u00eete interculturelle, an organisation based in Saint-Adelphe that is dedicated to<br>creating bridges between communities, is proud to announce the financial support of<br>the Department of Canadian Heritage\u2019s Community Support, Multiculturalism, and AntiRacism Initiatives Program for the MAMU | ENSEMBLE | TOGETHER intercultural exchange project organized in partnership with Innu Takuaikan Uashat Mak Maniutenam and Pasa Musik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This multicultural happening will bring together three unique artists: Shauit, an Innu<br>author-composer-singer from Mani-utenam in northeastern Quebec, Salif Sanou<br>(Lasso), a multi-instrumentalist artist and singer from Burkina Faso, and Saulo Olmedo<br>Evans, a percussionist and multi-instrumentalist from Panama. Together they will<br>participate in various local activities to promote diversity and intercultural<br>understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The musicians will then head to Mauricie, where they will meet with schools and<br>community groups. They will share their vision and discuss issues related to<br>multiculturalism. In coming weeks, a press conference will provide more detail on the<br>programming for this original event, one that is sure to inspire cultural communities to<br>create their own happenings. We would like to thank our partners, the latest of which<br>has just been added, the famous Sept-\u00celes troupe, Tam ti delam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shauit is an Innu author-composer-singer from Mani-utenam in northeastern Quebec. Shauit sings in French, English and in Innu-aimun.<\/li><li>Salif Sanou \u2018Lasso\u2019 was born in a musical family in the Kossi province of northwestern Burkina Faso. He plays the balafon, doum-doums, tamani, bara, djembe, the Fula flute (tambin or sereendu), and more.<\/li><li>Saulo Olmedo Evans is a multi-instrumentalist percussionist from Panama who grew up in Montreal. Between 2005 and 2008, his drums took him on a musical learning journey following his Latin American roots: Panama, Cuba, Brazil, Colombia. Saulo was then seduced by the colours and aesthetics of Indian culture. With renowned master Pandit Ishwar Lal Mishra, Saulo studied the tablas in India from 2011 to 2015.<\/li><li>Les Productions Pasa Musik encourage artistic hybridization and contribute to a new wave bringing on a renewal of reflection in our multicultural society.<\/li><li>Innu Takuaikan Uashat Mak Mani-utenam ensures the population\u2019s well-being by providing services that meet the people\u2019s expectations and needs in various areas.<\/li><li>La Bo\u00eete interculturelle focuses on communities and on showcasing each group\u2019s cultural and social heritage.
