«A meeting place to celebrate culture, history and heritage.».
Saint-Adelphe (Québec), October 12th 2021 — La Boîte interculturelle (Canada) is pleased to partner with the Festival Les nuits de Tombouctou à Montréal for the promotion of the event to be held at the Moroccan Cultural Center Dar Al Maghrib in Montreal, on November 27, 2021 from 6pm to midnight. The evening will be chaired by Her Excellency Fatima Braoulé Meité, Ambassador of Mali to Canada.
Under the theme of the thousand years of Timbuktu, one of the cities in Africa whose name is the most steeped in history and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this event is intended to be a meeting place to celebrate culture, history and heritage.
As in the tradition of large nomadic gatherings, the event will offer citizens the opportunity to appreciate the flavors of the culinary and artistic arts of Timbuktu, the Maghreb, Quebec and the United States. An exhibition of manuscripts will be on display and explained by historians.
The event is made possible thanks to the partnership with the Moroccan cultural center Dar Al Maghrib of Montreal and the Manifesto of Canada for Mali.
