La Pocatière, August 5, 2026 — La Boîte interculturelle announces the launch of a call for applications for professional or emerging artists from Quebec, as part of The caravan of possibilities a traveling creation and encounter project that will hit the road in spring/summer 2027 in the Kamouraska region.
A caravan like no other
Like the great caravans of old that crossed territories carrying stories, exchanges, and knowledge, The caravan of possibilities is hitting the road today with a mission that’s very much alive: bringing together artists and people from all walks of life to create together, share stories, and give rise to new possibilities.
Three artists, dancers, musicians, actors, storytellers, or craft artists — will be paired with three partner organizations to sit down with residents, share a piece of their own journey, and listen to theirs. No stage, no distance: just people truly talking to one another.
“When you know someone’s story, you see them differently. It’s as simple and as powerful as that,” says the spirit behind the project led by La Boîte interculturelle.
How it works
At each partner organization visited, community members are invited to spend time with the three artists in an intimate conversation, one-on-one or in a small group. Together, they then create a collective work rooted in the exchanges and emotions of the moment, which is presented publicly at the close of each stop. Three stops, three creations born from the land and the people who inhabit it.
Project goals
- Build connections between rural residents and artists reflecting Quebec’s cultural diversity
- Nurture dialogue through storytelling, listening, and shared creation
- Leave behind a collective work in each community as a living trace of the caravan’s passage
An open call across all of Quebec
The caravan’s artists are selected through an open call across the entire province. Professional or emerging, they represent the diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and artistic practices, dance, music, theatre, visual arts, crafts, and storytelling.
Interested artists are invited to submit their application via the online form, where full project details are also available:
