Mission

Foule’Art is bringing a professional artistic experience to rural communities, in the fall — when cultural offerings become scarce and a breath of fresh air is welcome.
Here, music becomes a vehicle for dialogue and human connection. Each artistic encounter becomes a true intercultural crossroads.

Avant les airs, les liens

Tôt en soirée, place aux rencontres éclair avec les artistes — parce que l’art se vit d’abord dans la rencontre.

Une station de cartes postales vers l’avenir invite le public à signer en faveur des arts comme moteur de rapprochement, à envoyer un message dans le temps, tout en échangeant avec les artistes et en découvrant leur parcours. Accessible tout au long de la soirée, cette station tisse des liens qui se prolongent plus tard sur scène : chaque concert devient ainsi une expérience profondément humaine.

En parallèle, Foule’Art en Visages capte ces rencontres sous forme de portraits, réunis dans un carrousel photo.

Guylice sera sur place pour des dégustations — une autre façon savoureuse de vivre la soirée

— et deux expositions itinérantes du Musée canadien des langues offriront aux visiteurs une occasion d’apprentissage à leur propre rythme.

Ce format fait de Foule’Art bien plus qu’un événement de diffusion: une plateforme de médiation culturelle ancrée dans la communauté kamouraskoise, ouverte à la pluralité des voix et des horizons.

Pèlerins des dunes

Pèlerins des dunes offers a hybridization of electronic music, world music, progressive rock, and jazz. The group’s unconventional instrumentation—central to its aesthetic—creates a festive and transcendent atmosphere. Their sonic arsenal includes synthesizers, transverse flute, clarinet, throat singing, darbuka, jaw harp, and electric guitar, all coexisting within a colorful and eclectic universe. Percussion and synthesizers share an evolving rhythmic foundation, serving as the sonic backbone for the melodies and improvisations performed by the musicians.

Carine au Micro

Carine is an African artist (Benin). Her interest in music started under the influence of her parents especially her mother’s. The year 1998 was a turning point into Carine’s artistic life when she moved to Europe (France) and unleashed her passion for music by starting to collaborate with various emerging musicians from the local scene. In 2004, when Carine moved to Quebec, she joined the Imani Gospel Singers Choir. It was not until she met music artists such as Lorraine Klaasen, Noel Mpiaza and David Mobio among others that she really got her feet into the music world. That brought her to participate in 2013 in the Musical Comedy Mahalia Jackson at the Segal Center in Montreal starring Ranee Lee (jazz artist winner of a Juno Prize in 2010). In spring 2017, she participated in concerts for Vision Diversité and Maison d’Haiti, and was approached by various audience members asking if she had any more personal work. This pushed her to start the process of recording a solo EP, in hopes of following in the footsteps of one of her major musical inspirations, Angélique Kidjo. In 2018, Carine au Micro released her debut EP entitled “O La Si”. And in October 2022, she released her very first solo album entitled "Doto N'ase" which means "Listen carefully. She is now working on her next project that will probably be released next spring.

Wesli

A committed musician known on the international stage, Wesli builds bridges between tradition and modernity, between Haiti and the rest of the world. His art is a tool of transmission, a cry from the heart, and a song of freedom. Wesli’s musical journey is as fascinating as it is inspiring: from crafting an instrument out of an oil can strung with nylon to winning a JUNO Award for World Music Album of the Year. Born Wesley Louissaint in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he has established himself as a prolific songwriter, guitarist, and producer. In Montreal, he brings together diverse talents and blends Haitian Vodou and rara with the roots of twoubadou, Afrobeat, and reggae. His albums feature collaborations with renowned artists such as Tiken Jah Fakoly, AfrotroniX, Mes Aïeux, Paul Cargnello, and Radio Radio. Since being named Radio-Canada Revelation 2009-2010, Wesli has earned numerous prestigious awards, including the Babel Med Music Prize (2010), SOCAN’s Hagood Hardy Award for Composition (2016), an Académie Charles Cros Prize (2019) for his representation of the diaspora, a JUNO Award for World Music Album of the Year (2019), a Félix Award for World Music Album of the Year (2019), and a CFMA Award for World Solo Artist of the Year (2020). Wesli has toured across North America, Haiti, Colombia, Brazil, and Europe, and has taken part in major events such as WOMEX, Mundial Montréal, and the Atlantic Music Expo in Cape Verde. His boundless creativity led him to release two albums in 2015: Immigrant, acclaimed by critics, and the more traditional Ayiti Étoile Nouvelle. In 2018, he released Rapadou Kréyol, followed by Tradisyon, launched internationally on October 21, 2022, in partnership with the American label Cumbancha. His new album, “Makaya”, is set for release on November 18, 2025.
