Canada’s cultural landscape is enriched by a new initiative: The Intercultural Route. Inspired by the Route verte or the Route des navigateurs, this new thematic route, created by Mathieu Langlois of Studio La Jeune Coop, offers an original way to travel the country – discovering the places, organizations and people that encourage connections, dialogue and rapprochement between communities.
La Boîte interculturelle is proud to unveil the logo for this unifying project. Both simple and deeply symbolic, the logo takes the form of a fingerprint – a universal marker of uniqueness and belonging.
Each line of this print evokes the multiple cultural trajectories that make up our communities. It tells us that culture is imprinted on us, that it defines us, but also that it guides us. Beyond being a symbol of identity, the imprint here becomes a destination and a meeting point.
This logo reminds us that culture is not static: it is lived, shared and transformed. And it’s this collective imprint that we want to celebrate.
“It’s an invitation to get moving, to meet others with curiosity, benevolence and openness. It’s the starting point of a deeply human journey.” – Nathalie Lévesque, Founder of La Boîte interculturelle.
The Intercultural Route is more than just a symbol. Over the coming months, it will come to life as a living, dynamic network, designed to forge bounds in every corner of the country. By showcasing local initiatives, supporting collaborations and highlighting the commitment of hundreds of individuals and organizations, The Intercultural Route aims to nurture a collective movement based on connection, sharing and recognizing the strengths that drive our territories.
It’s a project in the image of Canada: vast, rich in cultures, and driven by stories of encounters, crossroads and human experiences.
Stay tuned. A host of discoveries and surprises await you on this intercultural route.
