La Boîte Interculturelle understands that music has the ability to transcend the barriers of cultures.
There are musical traditions in every country that are either not represented or valued and are neglected as a result of mainstream cultures. These traditions are the living essence of their people. One way we do this is through projects like our partnership with Association Sandja, which is dedicated to safeguarding the tangible and intangible musical heritage of Cameroon and Africa. Through workshops, performances, and educational initiatives, we hope to bring these rich musical traditions to new audiences, emphasizing their relevance in today’s world.
We also collaborate with artists from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about exploring and revitalizing these traditions. By integrating modern elements, they create a bridge between the past and the present, demonstrating how these traditions can evolve while staying true to their roots.
At La Boîte interculturelle, we are committed to recognizing that diversity in music enriches us all and that every tradition has a story worth telling and hearing.
