Saint-Adelphe, March 27, 2023 – The Board of Directors of La Boîte interculturelle accepted, on March 21, 2023, the resignation of its president Mr. Faouzi Metouilli. Mr. Metouilli will leave on April 1, 2023, after five years at the head of the organization.
Present since 2015, even before the founding of La Boîte in 2018, Mr. Metouilli has been a leading force throughout his mandate. He has contributed significantly to the development of the organization’s international and national relations and promoted its mission to build bridges between different cultures.
The Board of Directors wishes to express its gratitude to Mr. Metouilli for his commitment to the organization over the years and for his invaluable contribution to the development of La Boîte’s projects.
In order to allow for a smooth transition, Mrs. Elvire B. Toffa takes over the presidency of the organization for a one-year term. A graduate of the Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières in written communication, an entrepreneur and a leader in the Trois-Rivières community, Mrs. Toffa will ensure the stability and continuity of La Boîte’s actions. Her professional background and her influence as a role model will contribute immensely to the organization.
At the March 21 meeting, the Board of Directors also welcomed a new director to the organization. Mrs. Francine Lévêsque, visual artist. With more than 30 years of experience in the visual arts and the recipient of several awards and honours, Ms. Lévêsque will bring an important contribution to the promotion of La Boîte and a new sensitivity to the regional effort.
